Unfortunately we only have about 8 hours in Madrid. Where would you recommend storing luggage when we get off the train ? I have searched online, but there are so many. I was hoping for a personal recommendation.

Last year I used the Bounce app to book luggage storage at Atocha. It was through a shop in the station that stores the bag for you. Worked great and was convenient.

We also need to luggage storage options when we arrive in Madrid next week. Our accommodation will not allow us to check in until late afternoon so we have several hours to walk around and certainly do not want to walk around with our luggage!
Question re: the Bounce app - once we arrive at Atocha from the airport, do I download the app and request luggage storage (assuming it is inside of the train station?).? Thank you so much for your response!!

Bounce is like Airbnb for your luggage. Download app now and reserve something in advance. It’s pretty simple, show up/drop-off then come back/pickup.
