Luggage storage in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain

Hello, we will be traveling in Spain this September, and are hoping to leave our hotel in Arcos to visit Jerez for the Equestrian Art performance, and then want to take in a Sherry Bodega tour before catching a train to Sevilla. I found some old conversation threads that included a link to Jerez tourism for luggage storage, but that link no longer works. The new tourism link doesn't mention it. I see that the Equestrian Art School will store it, but only for the duration of the show. I know the two Rick Steves Spain books that I bought said that there are no storage options available at the train and bus stations. But I was hoping that something may have opened up since publication! Does anyone know of a place we can store luggage in Jerez? Thanks in advance!

Try nannybag.com. it has a listing in Jerez (a hotel). It seems you have to pre-book and pre-pay online. I have no experience with this company, but I wouldn't hesitate to use this service.

acraven - Thank you for that! I actually did find that site, but that hotel is about 8 miles away. Not a complete deal-breaker, but if anyone knows of a place that is closer to the train station, please let me know!

Oh. That would be really inconvenient.

A couple of times--before the recent increase in online services like nannybag--I took a chance and arrived with luggage in a town where I wasn't aware of any storage options. I wanted to walk around for a few hours before moving on. In one case I walked into a 3-star hotel that wasn't busy at the time, placed 5 euros on the counter and asked the reception staff if I could store my bag there. They were glad to do it, and I later ate a casual lunch in the hotel restaurant, so I think it worked out for all parties.

My other experience with ditching my bag involved going into a quiet sports bar in a small town and asking if I could leave my bag there for an hour or two. They were equally accommodating and absolutely refused to take any money.

What's key in these situations is understanding that you may not find a solution. You have to be prepared for that.
