Luggage Storage in Cordoba

Hello All -

Our only pass through for a day city visit on our upcoming May trip is Cordoba. We plan to train from Granada to Cordoba and then travel on to Toldeo (where we will spend the night- arrival time Toledo doesn't have to be too early as we are spending two nights there) .

I read on the RS Spain book the bus station has lockers. We are traveling with two carry-ons. Has anyone used the lockers at the bus station; are there "plenty" of lockers or should we look into a luggage storage place nearby? It looks like the bus station is very near the train station, true?

Finally, has anyone experience with this itinerary before and offer some advice on when we should plan to eave Granada, arrive Cordoba - and how much time we should allow for Mezquita, lunch etc. We haven't booked tickets for train trips or the Mezquita (this is on Wednesday, May 21, so I am hoping tickets won't be too hard to acquire).

Thank you -

If you’ve never been to the Mezquita before, it’s hard to guess how much time you’ll spend there, but assume it will be longer than you think. The Mezquita is an almost 30 minutes walk from the bus station.

There is luggage storage at the bus station. From 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m., 365 days a year.

I've seen occasional warnings on this forum about the possibility of finding all luggage lockers occupied at the bus station. Unless I was really confident of arriving very early in the morning (and I wouldn't want to define what that means), I'd Google for other options. There are third-party companies with networks of local storage options they work with. I believe you usually need to book in advance--that's how those companies get their cut, so it might not work too well to scramble for an alternative after arrival in Cordoba. Names I have seen are Stasher, Nanny Bag and Radical Storage, but I bet there are others. I haven't used any of them, but I wouldn't hesitate to do so.
