Looking at the rail website it says that cases up to 80x 60x35 cm can be registered at the station 30 min before departure. Does anyone have any experience of this because I think my cases are bigger, being the standard airline size of 82 inches
For the high-speed trains of Renfe and IRYO, I have never seen anyone’s luggage size checked. You do have to put the luggage through a machine for security purposes, but size doesn’t seem to be assessed —-- particularly when we’re talking about yours being only 2 centimeters over the theoretical limit.
Just don’t bring a steamer trunk to the train station!
Have a great trip!
the standad airline size of 82 inches
I hope your luggage is not that big!!!
Nobody checked the size of our luggage on any trains in Spain
My cases are 30x20x13 in approx. 62 inches when you add all the measurements. I think I should be ok
What type of train are you travelling on?... it'll depend on that.
It will be the direct Madrid to Granada. Probably first class
