Planning a trip at the tail end of my son's Barcelona semester. We would fly there, spend time and then the three of us would travel around Spain. The challenge is that he will have way more luggage than we want to carry with us as we travel around Spain. So, if we were doing open jaws and flying out of Madrid..
- Ship the luggage to our last hotel
- Ship the luggage to the company that handles Baggage handling at Madrid Terminal 4 (our outbound terminal)
- Use some other luggage handling service I don't know about.
- We are flying Barcelona to Granada via Madrid, but the layover is just too short for us to claim the bag, check the bag into Baggage Handling, and clear security in time for the second leg of the flight.
NOTE: shipping luggage home from Spain seems ridiculously expensive. If you have a cheaper solution, please feel free to weigh in.
TIA
