Low-key beach not from from Granada?

We'll be in Barcelona and Granada for a brief stint (about 10 days) in late May (also traveling in France and Ireland before and after) and thought we'd dip into the sea if we could. We thought we'd go south from Granada, enjoy a day of the water, then head over to Malaga for a short stop before flying Malaga to Cork.

Any tips about beaches around there? We live where beaches are (very cold and) quiet and aren't looking for a party beach. I saw some raves about Cadiz but I think that may be too far for our short timeline. I'd rather skip the beach if it's going to mean too much extra travel. (We're on train and bus)

Thanks!

About an hour south of Granada are Motril and Salobreña. Both have beaches but I liked Salobreña’s better..

Thank you! We saw them there but wanted some first-hand opinions. Thanks!

We were in Granada the first week in June several years ago and we went to Salobreña for the day, on a Friday. We really enjoyed it, and the our kids wanted to go back, so we also spent Saturday there.

On Friday the beach was basically deserted. On Saturday it started to be crowded, but was still okay.

The highway makes it pretty easy to get to the coast.
