I am still working on lodging for my week-long trip to Seville, coming up May 6-13. I have a room booked at a hostel, but the price is is $641 - and am looking for something less expensive, that fits into my spending plan - up to $50 or $60 a night.
I found a room to rent in someone's home on Airbnb in the Marcarena neighborhood, but haven't heard back from the owner, regarding the questions below (she did answer a couple I asked earlier, so strange I haven't heard back, as I can see that she read my email.) The airbnb is about a 30-minute walk from the main attractions - fine during the day, but not sure about the night.
I like to be out at at night - maybe the theater, or a Flamenco show, or dinner, etc.. So..
- Is this a safe neighborhood to be out at night for a solo female traveler?
- Is there public transportation that runs from Marcarena to the main attractions of Seville - to theaters, music, etc.?
- In general, is it safe for a solo female traveler to walk around Seville at night by oneself? (My sense is yes.)
- Any other thoughts about this neighborhood?
Thank you!
