I'm looking for mid-range lodging recommendations in older, scenic areas of Malaga, Cadiz, Seville (spring 2026). Our preference is smaller inn-type lodging, rather than spa or chain hotels. Thank you.

You can't get much older or scenic or central than right around Constitution Plaza in Malaga, like this:

Note that taxis can only get direct access to that corner at certain times because the area is pedestrianized. When that happens they will drop you off a couple streets west, so it helps to get yourself oriented and know how to ask for directions. Oh yeah -- nowadays you can use your phone! Ha.
For Sevilla use Rick's recommended hotel Amadeus but ask for one of the better rooms.

I've used Booking.com in each of those cities, a couple times for Seville and Malaga, and have been pleased with every stay.
