Lodging in Seville

We are four family members who will be traveling to Seville for 3 nights in July. I am looking for recommendations for lodging that is clean, comfortable and close to the city attractions and moderately priced restaurants. I have checked all the usual websites for lodgings and am somewhat overwhelmed. Therefore, I am seeking the help of other tourists who have stayed and enjoyed a particular property. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Cheryl - The Santa Cruz district in Seville is very ideal for lodging and will give you close access to most of the major attractions. When i visited Andalusia and passed through Seville, i stayed at this hotel. It's clean, great location, rooftop pool, bar and lounge.

I stayed in the Sevilla Center Hotel last month. Large, conveniently located, grocery store across the street, Plaza de España, cathedral and other sites within easy walking distance - and I can recommend an excellent flamenco club near the cathedral if you are interested.....keep in mind - there are many of both in this fantastic city.

Nick - I think that someone you are thinking of is Carlos, which I am eagerly waiting to hear his thoughts on this traveler going to Seville in July.

We stayed at hotel Amadeus last time we were in Sevilla. It’s about a five minutes walk from the cathedral, Giralda, and Alcazar, and a little over 10 minutes to the Plaza de Espana and Maria Luisa park. The river and Torre de Oro are also about 10 minutes from the hotel.

We really enjoyed the Hotel Becquer in 2017. Great location for walking, good sized rooms, helpful staff, excellent value for money.

Another vote for Amadeus. The annex has a nice roof top garden.

I also liked Hotel Bécquer, I've stayed there 3 times ('99, '12, '16). It's a good location, and if you have a car, you can get to it easily and it has parking.

Thanks for all the lodging suggestions! I will check them out online tomorrow.. I know it will be very hot in southern Spain in July, but I am locked into a school schedule, and in the northeastern US schools do not finish until late June. When I finally stop teaching, you can be sure I will be traveling when schools are in session!

Another vote for Hotel Amadeus! We stayed in the main building, not the annex. Welcoming, professional staff; easy walking distance to attractions and beautiful rooftop garden for breakfast and drinks in the evening.

Santa Cruz area is great. Consider an apartment instead. We stayed in a great one, very central.
