LLafranc construction and hotel recommendations

As part of our vacation to Spain, we will be spending 3 nights in Costa Brava in mid June. I reserved rooms in Hotel LLafranc and Hotel Terramar in Llafranc and Aiguablava in Platja de Fornells. I have seen that there is some pretty major construction going on in front of Hotel Llafranc which looks like it will make that entire beach front unsightly and difficult to get to from either hotel in Llafranc. If anyone is familiar with the construction - should I pass on those hotels and stay in Aiguablava? Or is it really not an issue?
Thanks!

Don't know about this specific case, but be aware that we DO NOT have private beaches in Catalonia -nor anywhere else in Spain for that matter- as the whole coast is considered "public space". For decades no one can build too close to anywhere on the coast, and those estates/buildings/houses that "were" already there when the Law was passed, have to give right of passage to the public.

I seem to recall that there are still a few cases in the courts about some proprietors that resist giving this right of passage, but they've got no case.

We are visiting Llafranc in October and I was worried about the construction too. I found this webcam and have been looking at it almost dail to see the progress. It looks like they are almost done with that tile sidewalk and it should wrap up soon. Someone else said it's supposed to be done before June.

Arrived yesterday (17th June ) for 5 days stay in Llafranc. The whole of the esplanade is a building site, no work being done Sat / Sun. Supposed to be complete by end of month, but can't see it. The new work looks cheap and tacky, and some mature trees have gone in the name of progress.

With the building hiatus the beach showers do not work, and this afternoon we have been blasted for the last two hours by a hard rock band playing near the square.

All in all a very poor experience from a town we know and love.

Oh what a bummer. I hope it's done by the time we get there on October!

We just returned from our Spain trip (including 4 nights in Costa Brava). We ended up staying in Caella Palafrugell at the Hotel Mediterrani, which was really great. I walked to Llafranc to see the status of the construction and it is a mess - a lot of noise and what is completed doesn't look great. I'm really glad that we opted to not stay there for this trip. I'm imagining that it will be complete by October though!
