Light Biking in Andalusia?

Hello! My husband and I are spending our honeymoon in southern spain at the end of September (Granada, Sevilla, and the Hill Towns). We would love to do a biking tour on one of our days but all the biking tours I've searched, the photos are of people in intense cycling gear. While we enjoy hiking on the weekends, I would not consider ourselves intensely active people and I don't want to hurt ourselves for the rest of the trip.

Does anyone have any recommendations of a self-guided bike tour that would be a bit more leisurely? Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

Andalucia in September is still hot, it is also quite hilly/mountainous in many places so there is a reason so many cyclists are wearing "intense cycling gear", it's because they're experienced and dedicated cyclists. Personally I couldn't think of anything worse than cycling in that heat and with those inclines.

Also, when you say hiking do you mean the European take on hiking or walking? Hiking in Europe means strenuous hill and mountain walking/climbing.

Hmm -- okay good to know. Maybe cycling just won't be our activity.

We typically do around 3 mile mountain trail hikes on weekends, so I'm very excited to do some hiking in Spain. We're already planning to go to El Torcal. I was hoping to do some biking as well, but it doesn't sound like we're ready for that.

I just finished reading Polly Evans' It's Not About The Tapas. She cycled 1000 miles in Spain and little of it was leisurely. Very funny book, if you are interested. My local library carries it, but I expect there may be an ebook.
Spain is very hilly, and the Spaniards take there bicycling seriously. Even the cities are hilly, so save your bike vacations for the Netherlands. Lovely flat, made for bikes, country.
Would you be interested in a day tour for nature? I am a bird wstcher and have arranged a day trip to Donana NP from Seville. It is a private tour but it is per vehicle not per person, so pricing may not be as bad as a Viator type tour. Many birding companies also do hiking, nature viewing days. There is also one out of Antequera. There is some rugged country there that may be of interest. El Torcal de Antequera Nature Reserve is in limestone Karst landscape. There is a visitor's centre so there may be a website with maps. Keep in mind that two years ago, late September in Seville had temps close to 100F though last year the did occasionally drop to low 80s, so check your weather history data before olanning a day hiking in the hills
