Planning Spain trip for late November, Would love to get some great hiking in. Ordesa & Perdido looks great, but is Late November too late in the season? Any recommendations for base towns in Pyrenes or elsewhere for that time of year?
When some friends visited Ordesa park they stayed at Edelweiss Hotel Ordesa Torla. Looking at the weather report, it is supposed to get 7” of snow on 7-8 December. I’m sure each year is different and it may be best to contact the park directly. It’s website has information that should be useful. This link has information in English
Higher elevations will be problematic in late Nov. it doesn’t, take much snow to make trails very challenging. Smaller towns not near ski resorts will be very quiet. If you go have backup plans. There are lots of great options in Aragon. Check out the Pic du Midi web cam for current snow cover.
