I am on a cruise docking in Malaga in 2 weeks, and would like recommendations for guides/tours that I could book last minute to go to the Alhambra. I waited too late, and our ship excursion to the Alhambra is sold out. I am on the waiting list for our ship's excursion, but am asking what other options are out there. Thanks!
Lots of people on my cruise used Spain Day Tours, also known as Top Day tours. We didn't for Alhambra (we went independently after the cruise to Granada for a few days), but we did use them for Sevilla from Cadiz. They were fine - nothing truly outstanding but delivered on the main things. You might want to ask your fellow cruisers on your roll call on Cruise Critic if they've arranged anything with available space.
If you are unable to arrange anything, I can't recommend highly enough staying in Malaga and doing the Walk and Taste tour with "We love Malaga". It was a terrific tour, terrific guide (family company), and terrific things to taste. Definitely great value for money. Our party of six all agree it was one of the best things we did.
