Landing at BCN and have to go direct to Madrid

We are 4 flying from Toronto to Barcelona on Air Canada. We have to head directly from Barcelona to Madrid after landing, rather then stay in Barcelona. Just booked flight by Iberia departing BCN at 12:30 but the concern is we will land at BCN at 10:25 and have to rush to catch flight at 12:30 Is it enough time ? we do have a person on wheelchair which could speed us a bit because they normally are allowed first. Plus We will just go with hand carry on the plane so will not have to wait for bags. And yes we land and fly out from T1 terminal.

As with any connection involving separate tickets, you are at risk if your arriving flight is delayed. Miss your connection and you will have to buy new, last minute tickets to Madrid. And since you've already booked that 2nd ticket, making a change to your first flight is now moot. I will point out that while w/c pax are boarded first, they also may be deboarded last or (IME) may have to wait for a chair if not bringing your own, making your connection even tighter. Can you change your connecting flight to a later time?

Have you flown AC before? We've flown with them 3 times for a total of 12 segments in all. ONE segment was on time. We just returned from Munich on AC, and as we were waiting in Toronto for our connecting flight to Winnipeg (which was delayed by 3 hours 50 minutes) I checked out the departures board. I counted 30 flights on the far left hand side--the flights that were leaving the soonest. Of the 30 flights, 20 were AC, and 18 of those were delayed. AC has a reputation for delays.

When we flew from Winnipeg to Toronto to begin our trip, we were scheduled to have a 4 hour 25 minute layover. We ended up with 25 minutes (due to a delay) and RAN through the airport to catch our plane to Munich. Then we sat on the plane at the gate and waited for them to fix something (another delay). And I will mention that none of our delays were because of weather--it was always mechanical issues.

If it were me, I absolutely would not be comfortable with that amount of time based on our history with AC. If flying AC, I want a minimum of 4 hours between flights.

Adding to CJean's post. There was a person with crutches on our flight from Munich to Toronto. He was asked to wait to deplane last.
