La Sagrada Familia with guide. Do I still need the app?

We purchased tickets for a guided tour at the official site for our trip in September. The confirmation email said to download the app for audio. Since we have a guide, do we really need the app? Has anyone successfully used it?

I only ask because the reviews for the official app are terrible, just terrible.

If you have a live person walking in talking explaining I don't think you need an app.
Download and see for yourself though since it does not cost you any money and most apps have terrible reviews.

I visit SF several times every year, sometimes I've used the app, and I, honestly, haven't had any complaints so far.

Enric, that is good to know! I booked tickets for September and did not book a guide. I read the audio guide was excellent!

Used the app on my iPhone last year at SF and have no complaints either. Like EVERY app or software or website, there are initial quirks or "why did they do it this way" sort of interaction, but if I remember, the app did have some cool - non audio - features like "stand here and aim your phone at xxx" and it triggered it to do something.

BUT - with a guide, I don't think I'd want or need the app. I'd much rather focus on what they were saying. The app and the RS book was fine for us, but a guide takes it to a, hopefully, higher level of info.

Terry, we have tickets for Monday 9th at 9 am/9:30 English tour. Will we see you there? :)

Curious if anyone has taken the English tour?

I took the English tour there about 2 years ago. First thing in the morning. No crowds yet. Got fabulous photos. After the tour, walked around for another few hours, visiting the museum, listening to the audio guide on the app. Best of both worlds.
