La Sagrada Familia - Use this website to purchase tickets!

I had been researching online tickets for Sagrada Familia in Barcelona and saw a lot of availability for various types of tickets and tours (audioguide, guided tour, towers, etc.) but when I was ready to purchase them, I went to the site recommended in RS Spain guide - www.sagradafamilia.cat, only to find much more limited availability. Shocked and disheartened, I decided to search "official Sagrada Familia website" and found the one I had looked at originally - https://sagradafamilia.org/en/. I was relieved to see that the range of availability was still there and the prices were lower on this site, too. I was able to purchase tickets for an audio tour and visit to the Nativity Tower for my husband and the audio tour for me, and was able to get them for an even cheaper senior rate. We can both be admitted when it opens at 9:00 am so we hope to beat at least a little of the crowd.

My iPad will not even let me access that .cat address; it says the server cannot be identified.

It came right up on my laptop. Glad I found the site I had originally been using. I have been able to print tickets and also keep the reservation on my phone.

Just a tip : always look to buy on the official website of any museum. There are always 3rd parties middlemen selling at a markup. Most official sites are .org instead of .com
And the internet is more up to date than any guide book that was printed longer ago.

I do go to the official website myself, which is why I was surprised that it wasn't listed in the Rick Steves Spain guide book, unless it has been updated recently. Those of us who use his books faithfully depend on getting the most accurate, up-to-date information, which is usually the case.

Both domains are official channels from Sagrada Família, both point to the same website.

.cat is the national domain for Catalonia, so you'll find many websites here in Catalonia using it, either on its own or in conjunction with other domains (.com, .net. etc)
