La Palma, Canary Islands

We have 4 days on La Palma the beginning of April. Looking for suggestions...what are the top "don't miss" things to do or places to visit?

A lot of Las Palma’s top attractions are in the historic Vagueta neighborhood. The Plaza de Santa Ana is where the massive cathedral is located. To the south is the historic Casa de Colon which houses the Columbus Museum, since he stopped here before his voyage to the Americas in 1492 There are several museums, including the art museum, nearby.
Be sure to wander the streets north of the Plaza to see how beautiful this area is off the quieter streets.
The indoor market, “Mercado de Vagueta,” is also in Vagueta.
At the north end of Las Palmas is the famous Playa de Las Canteras which is widely considered to be one of Europe’s most beautiful urban beaches. Walk the promenade and you’ll see distant volcanoes on the bay. There are tons of restaurant and cafe options here and it’s a great area to stay.
The aquarium of Gran Canaria, “ Poema del Mar,” is nearby.

I think the OP is asking about the island of La Palma and not the city of Las Palmas on Gran Canaria but they can confirm

While I do appreciate the info on Las Palmas, we are asking about the island of La Palma.

Hi, in La Palma I recommend to:

1) Hike the Volcano Route (Ruta de los Volcanes)
2) Visit La Caldera de Taburiente National Park
3) Roque de Los Muchachos Observatory
4) Swim in the natural pools at La Fajana
5) Check out a volcanic black sand beach – Puerto Naos or Charco Verde
6) Stroll through Santa Cruz de La Palma
7) Try queso palmero, mojo sauces and the island's sweet wines

Enjoy :)
