La Carmona

We are planning a trip to Spain in the Fall. Can anyone shed any light on this little gem (La Carmona) and how do I get there from Seville.

Webster,

I have not traveled to Carmona yet but have read about it as I'm in the initial stages of planning a trip back to Spain.

Here are a few excerpts taken from Frommer's SPAIN travel guidebook:

Carmona is an ancient city that dates back from Neolithic times and contains important Roman ruins. Surrounded by fortified walls,
Carmona has three Moorish fortresses. The most impressive attraction
is Puerta de Sevilla, with it's double Moorish arch opposite Iglesia
de San Pedro (church). The town itself is a national landmark, filled
with narrow streets, white-washed walls and Renaissance mansions.

You can easily travel to Carmona from Seville via bus (40 minutes travel time)

You can check bus schedules here: http://www.alsa.es./en/

Have a wonderful trip!
