HI all, and I hope that this information will also be included in Rick's future editions of his Spain travel guides.
I was just in Granada wandering around for a day while my friends were at the Alhambra, and at the last minute I made a great discovery. Check out the Centro de la Memoria Sefardj de Granada. It is an amazing, and the only, museum that tells the story of Jews in Granada and so much more! It is a labor of love created by a couple who go back many generations. They were sad to see that the jewish history in Granada was getting lost - I believe she told me there are only 6 Jewish families remaining there! and they have spent years documenting, collecting, archiving, displaying the figures, traditions and stories of Jewish people in spain, in Granada, and in that neighborhood.
check out www.museosefardidegranada.es. They request a 5 Euro donation but could use much more! Especially need and want people to know about it, visit and tell others!
In the Barrio del REalajeo Juderia, Placeta Berrocal, 5, Granada.
