January Trip to Andalucia-

My husband and I are planning to go to Seville and Granada for about 8 days (not counting travel to and from the States.) Wondering if we should include a trip to Arcos de la Frontera, and if that is even feasible. We don't want to rent a car. We are excited about the two cities- but would also love to experience a small town. Open to other suggestions! Likely flying into Seville, perhaps out of Granada?

I took a bus from Seville to Arcos in April of 2019; I assume service is still available. It's quite a long trip, though--I think 2 hours or so. I don't know what rhe town would be like in January. On the plus side, this is not a decision that needs to be made far ahead of time; just be sure you go to the correct bus station in Seville; the city has two.

Cordoba would be a much, much higher priority for me. It is not a small town, but the historic center is atmospheric. This would be a train trip, and you'd want to buy the ticket ahead of time to get a good fare if you're traveling from Madrid or Granada. Cordoba is on the way from Madrid to Seville (as well as from Seville to Granada), so it's a great place to spend the first one or two nights of your trip if you find airfare into Madrid is a lot cheaper than the fare to Seville.

Agree with our two knowledgeable posters about choosing Cordoba over Arcos.
