Italica tour info

We plan to take a day trip to Italica from Sevilla. Can anyone suggest a tour guide or guided tour? We are able to travel to Italica by bus on our own so transportation from Sevilla does not need to be part of the tour. We are interested in Italica for its history, not for its appearance in Game of Thrones, so we don't want a tour that focuses on that.

Alternatively, if you know of any published self-guided tour we could access, that might work for us.

Thank you!

Italica is very close to Sevilla. Not a “day trip” just a couple of hours. Worth visiting but it won’t take more than a half day. We enjoyed seeing it and conveniently it was close to our airport hotel.

Hi Ellen,
We recently went to Italica with Naturanda Tours. They offer two options:

  1. meet the guide at Italica for the tour

  2. use their bus to get to Italica and back to Seville. This option includes a stop at the nearby monastery to look at the mosaics. We decided to pay the extra for this option. Quick and easy bus ride and the meeting place was a 7 minute walk from our hotel.

Once we got to Italica, Naturanda divided the tour into 2 groups --- English speaking and Spanish speaking. This was nice because no one had to listen to the explanations twice. There wasn't any undue emphasis on Game of Thrones, maybe they mentioned it once or twice in passing. I'm not familiar with the show, so I was a little worried about that too. I can recommend the tour.
