I've read it's the "oldest restaurant in the world" and wondering if it's worth eating there.

“Worth it” is pretty subjective, so your opinion might differ from mine.

We had a fantastic meal there last year. Food was delicious, great atmosphere, excellent service, and my kids got to brag that they ate in the oldest restaurant.

But I would go somewhere else on our next trip to Madrid only because there are other great restaurants to try. And therefore it is different from other places I’ve eaten, where the food was so good that I would go back over and over.

So for us, as a one-time experience, it was worth it.

I just looked at the menu. It's not super expensive in relation to other restaurants in the area. I was just in that neighborhood in June/July. If I had known about this place, I would've gone. Why not? Take pics! Have fun! I had the suckling pig at a restaurant in Segovia. It's not my favorite, but it was good. get one and share it with the table. Then find things you know you'll like.

Considering all the good restaurants in Madrid, to me, it would be a special occasion restaurant as it is a little pricey. It looks nice (reminds me of some restaurants in Buenos Aires), but I believe you’re paying a premium for its history. If you want to go, go. You’re the only one who can decide if it’s worth the cost.
