Is one hour enough for Alhambra Nasrid Palaces in Granada?

The only tix we were able to get now online for our late April 2018 visit is for 7 pm, and closing that day is 8 pm. We are taking a 3 hour private tour (with Nhue Concierge) that will start at 5 pm and first do everything else at the Alhambra. Is one hour enough for Alhambra Nasrid Palaces?

If it’s your first time there, then more time would be optimal. There’s a lot to take in visually. If it isn’t too busy (fewer tourists) then you can see more in less time. If the only choices are to see it in an hour or not see it all, by all means, see it.

One hour is fine for the Palace itself. It is time restricted anyway. You can take longer but you can see it adequately in an hour. BUT -- for the rest of the Alhambra you really need something closer to half a day. I am sure of your timing sequence. How can you take a three hour private tour starting at 5 and still make it to the palace at 7 - if that is your entry time????

Thank you. I think that the tickets also provide access to the entire "Monumental site" all day, but inasmuch as I was not certain, I also bought all day tickets for Gardens, Generalife and Alcazaba. It may be redundant but I just decided to spring for the extra 7 Euros each anyway.

So, the 3 hour tour begins at 5 pm and ends at 8 pm. The only tix we were able to get online was for 7 pm, and closing that day is 8 pm. Therefore, for the first 2 hours of our tour, the guide will show us around the Alhambra area, the Gardens, Generalife and Alcazaba, and then, at 7 pm, the guide will continue with us into the Nasrid Palaces, as our access begins at 7 pm, and we will be there presumably until closing, which I understand is 8 pm on that date. My question was whether that one hour will be enough for Alhambra Nasrid Palaces, or whether we will feel rushed. We are committed to doing this anyway, as we will only be in Granada for a limited time.

From what you describe it’s your only option, so I would enjoy every moment, for even a short hour is better than missing out. Be happy regardless.
