is March to early for the Alhambra

If the question is, will there be flowers in the Generalife in March, no. Is it and the Alhambra still worth visiting in March; most definitely. You should find they will be fewer tourists.

I visited the Alhambra in December. The gardens were still impressive. I just went back through my pictures and there were quite a few flowers in bloom at that time. In fact, I took many flower pictures. I am sure there are more later in the year, but I would gladly trade reasonable temperatures and less people for a few more blooms. I suppose it depends on what your priorities are for viewing.
