We were planning a day trip to Monsterrat next week, but now I am wondering if we will be able to enjoy it in the 93 degree temps that are predicted.
I should add that we have three teenagers
I assume you mean from Barcelona? As a teacher I can only travel from the US in summer. It was also very, very warm two years ago, but we did hike up to the top early- mid afternoon. Take water, sunscreen, etc. Staying overnight at the monastery made all the difference, once the day tours and tourists had left it was so quiet. If you still have time to arrange that, I suggest taking the train up in the mid- afternoon, see the church and Black Madonna and your overnight, then hike in the earlier a.m.
