Irún to Bilbao for Camino, then Barcelona

My husband & I are attending a nonprofit conference in Barcelona the last week of June 2027. I’ve wanted to walk the Camino for years, but can’t commit to a 5-week jaunt. I’m of Basque heritage & plan to walk a bit of the north route, beginning in Irún and ending in Bilbao. We would then take the train or fly from Bilbao to Barcelona.
I’m looking for any suggestions on best flights to Europe from Spokane, Wash. (fly into Paris, then Biarritz) & suggestions on getting from Bilbao to Barcelona. Because we will need Camino & business/formal wear, we most likely will check a bag or two & send them on to Barcelona with a luggage service. Our daughter also is going with us, but plans to go early from Barcelona to Amsterdam to visit a friend. She also has a friend in London. We have no problem meeting up with her in another country & departing back home from there. We live in Idaho & our main airport is in Spokane, Wash. I know this trip is complicated, so any advice is welcome.

Use Google Flights and search for a multi-trip flight from Spokane to Paris and from Barcelona to Spokane.

Book a flight separately with Vueling from Bilbao to Barcelona

Have you thought of maybe doing the Ignacian Camino. It is a pilgrimage that follows the life of St. Ignatius of Loyola.

You could start in Zumárraga and finish in Laguardia/Logroño and then get a train to Barcelona. This would give you a chance to visit Vizcaya and Alava in the Basque Country. (If you had 4 weeks you could walk all the way to Barcelona).

As for flights, this summer I believe United had flights from Newark direct to Bilbao. May be too early to book though.
