Inquisition tours in Madrid in Spanish and in English

I am looking for a Spanish Inquisition walking tour in Madrid. The one I had got canceled. I need it for June 4/ We are two couples, two speak in English and two speak Spanish. We would like to do them at the same time but it can be two different tour guides, as long as the time is the same.
Thank you!

As a side comment (sorry!), the Inquisition also existed in France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands...and was much bloodier than the "famous" one in Spain, but propaganda or Black Legend (as with Spanish flu) against catholicism worked really well at the time. Spanish Inquisition had courts and judges, something that the others lacked. Inquisition was established in France in 1184, while in Spain it was in 1478. The number of people sentenced to death in Spain was really low if you compare it with other countries.

In the same way, Jews were expelled from France in 1182 and from England in 1290, but it seems that they were "only" expelled from Spain in 1492 (when the accusations from Calvinist and Lutheran countries were that Castile protected the Jews).

Black Legend, Spain was never very good at defending herself against the other religions...

Just to add a small tidbit to what Mikel wrote.

The last witches to be burned by the Spanish Inquisition were the "witches" of Zugarramurdi. It was November 1st, 1610, and about half a dozen were burned in Logroño. As an aside, as the 1st is a holiday, and often a three day one, in Logroño there is a fair, and they reenact the events of 415 years ago.

These days, I think the Spanish Inquisition is most widely known thanks to Monty Python.

What great branding that would be for a company: Spanish Inquisition Tours.

Were you looking at Get Your Guide? They have an evening group tour listed for $24.00 pp that shows availability. Viator also offers a similar tour, but the cost is higher.

You will need to ask if the guide can do the tour in a bilingual mode, as they will probably not assign two separate guides.

Tours by Locals could probably create a custom one for you, but it might cost even more.

Have fun!
