Has anyone taken that 11:45pm flight out of Barcelona on Iceland Air? Did it go smoothly? What did you do between 2am and your next flight in Iceland?

What time is your next flight?
If the airport has flights that late, they must have something to do there. Either that or check into a hotel for a few hours.

My flight back to the US is via Iceland, I did that intentionally to have 2 days there. As part of the extensive research I did it appears that many flights arrive in Reykjavik in the very early morning hours, mine is at 1:30 a.m. after a 3 hour layover in Barcelona, coming from Seville. Depending what time your flight to the US is, there are tons of companies that seem specifically to cater to these connections, including time to see the Blue Lagoon with airport pickup and drop off.
