Huelva to Seville on cruise stop

We have a cruise stop in Huelva in September. There are 6 of us traveling together. I was wondering how much it should cost to have a taxi take us from the cruise port to Alcazar? Our ship is docked from 9AM-7PM. We are hoping to visit the Alcazar, Plaza de Espana, if enough time (it is a Sunday) the cathedral, then take a taxi back to the ship. Will there likely be a taxi at the cruise port willing to drive us that far? Is it easy to find a taxi to return us to port? Would we be better off booking a tour for the day?Any recommendations?

According to rome2rio, {http://www.rome2rio.com}, it would cost $130-$160 each way & it would take a little over an hour without traffic.
Since there are six of you, you will need a van taxi which may cost more.
You may contact the taxi providers in Huelva at +34 625 90 77 19

Another option is to take a taxi to the bus station then take a bus (ALSA) to Seville.

Having said this, you'll need to figure out how much time you'll actually have, before you decide if traveling to Seville is feasible.

Keep in mind that just because the ship is docked from 9AM -7PM, it doesn't mean that you will be off the ship at 9AM, and you will probably need to be back on the ship before 7PM.

I've not taken a cruise in Europe, but the one time I did take a cruise, the time we actually had to tour, was much less than anticipated.

Enjoy your cruise!

Note. No ordinary taxi in Spain is licensed for any more than four passengers, so you will need a 'minivan' taxi.

Seville is a long ways from Huelva. I would look to book a private tour because I would be concerned about obtain a return taxi for that large a group. You need someone who is going to stay with you the whole time. I would get on the web site for Huelva and see if any private tours are listed. The other possibility is that when you get off the ship there were will lots taxi hanging just outside the gate, start negotiating, and there could be some private tour guides there also.

Hello, I hope this helps. When we take a cruise and we want to explore, we take a taxi or book a local tour ahead of time if we want to spend the day within 30-60 mins. from the port ( Allowing for many stops during the day). If the destination is any longer we pony-up and book a specific tour through the cruise ship. For example, Malaga to Granada to visit the Alhambra or Cadiz to Seville to visit the sights you mentioned. We often use the "On your own" choice. This tour option generally will be more expensive, but we have encountered problems in the past with transportation. Factoring in what you already paid for the cruise, just consider it a little bit of peace-of-mind to help you better relax and enjoy your vacation. -Hank

I'm also looking for the same trip, the same time (September, Sunday, 9AM-7PM). Probably, we are even travelling by the same cruise ship.
I found bus time table DAMAS: http://www.damas-sa.es/index.php/rutas-y-horarios/
There is a bus starting at 10:00 and arriving to Seville at 11:15; return 15:30-16:45
I was also looking for private tours, but unfortunatelly all I managed to find was incredibly expensive for two people.
