How to plan for a week in Seville, Cordoba and Granada?

Hi Everyone,

We are planning on a trip to Spain by flying in at 7:30am (Saturday) in Madrid and leaving Spain at 11:50am (Sunday) in Madrid. We are hoping to visit Seville, Cordoba and Granada in that time. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to lay out the trip? For example, we could start in Seville for 6 days and 2 days in Granada. By staying in Seville longer we could do a day trip to Cordoba. The only concern I have is how to get back to the airport in Madrid from Granada to make a 11:50am flight.

Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris

I did this exact thing once:

Arrive Madrid early, take train to Seville. Stay in Seville 4 nights
Early train to Córdoba, visit as day trip, take bus to Granada in the evening
3 nights in Granada
Take very early flight to Madrid from Granada airport (6AM?) and fly home from Madrid at 11AM

Now, I booked the Home-Madrid, Granada-Madrid-home all on one ticket. So if my Granada to Madrid flight was delayed and I missed my home flight I would have been ok. If you don’t have this booking option you want to spend your last night in Madrid. So I’d head there on Sat night, even though that shortens your time in Seville and Granada.

8 nights : 4/3/1 Seville, Granada, Madrid (for the airport). Arrange as needed.
