I bought a 4-trip Renfe pass (preferente class) a couple of weeks ago online. I understand I can reserve a seat up to 90 days ahead and it is free. I would appreciate knowing the exact steps to get a seat reservation using the Renfe Pass number. Thank you.

I haven't tried it, but this page looks like the appropriate starting point: https://venta.renfe.com/vol/index2.jsp?U=SP2N. The fine print used to say that travel dates had to be reserved in chronological order, so check your documentation for that type of detail, if chronological order was not your plan.

Thank you so much, Laura. I remember now reading about how I should click on the "Journey Validation". It's all in Spanish, but thank goodness for Google Translate, I was able to get to the right site and add correct information. Unfortunately, I think the date I want to travel is too far out still, so couldn't get the reservation, but I'll try again in a few days.
