I just got a waitlisted seat on the RS Basque tour and I'm coming from Bucharest, Romania. I have two days to get there and was thinking to fly from Bucharest to Madrid (seems the best option, other thoughts readily accepted). So I'm looking for train/bus/?? information from Madrid to Bayonne.
Or should I fly to CDG and take the train to Bayonne?
All recommendations are welcomed! Thanks so much!!
It looks like Wizzair flies from Bucharest to Bordeaux a couple days a week. If that flight happens to line up with your travel date, that might be an option as Bordeaux is about a 2 hour train ride from Bayonne.
When I took the tour, I started in Paris and then took the train from Montparnasse station to Bayonne. If you have two days, you could fly to Paris, spend a night in a hotel near Montparnasse station and then take the train to Bayonne.
Laura, thanks for the great idea! Appreciate it!
