Staying in Valencia in September and would like to do a day trip to Alicante. We are exploring our options and would like to find out how to find and hire a tour guide. We are exploring the area as a future retirement destination and appreciate all help!

I did a shore excursion in Alicante in December and the cruise line used the owner/operator of ULA Guides. Ula is the woman who runs it and did our tour, and she was fantastic. Her English is great, she knows a ton about the history of the city, and she's very funny. She was very considerate as well when asked about Spanish politics and answered questions frankly. Enjoy Alicante! I thought it was a lovely city and, at least for now, somewhat off the main tourist radar.
