How many days in Seville?

Planning a family trip in March (husband, 9yo son, myself) and was wondering how many days are recommended in Seville. We tend to enjoy meandering and exploring new cities and none of us have been there yet. Thanks!

For a first time there, I feel 3 full days would be sufficient to see the main sights and get a nice feel for the city. More time would be needed if you planned to take any day trips, e.g., to Cordoba, or to visit Italic. How much time you need really depends on what you like to do and what you want to visit.

I agree with 3 full days. Sevilla is a wonderful city, one of my favorites in all of Spain. I could have spent all day at the Alcazar.

Alyssa - I would recommend at least 4 days in Seville as a minimum and 5 days max. So how many days do you have for your Spain trip?

I recommend a minimum of 4 nights, which gives you 3 full days. There are many interesting historical sights, and Seville is a beautiful city architecturally, so it's very enjoyable for walking and meandering.

As someone else asked, how long is your trip to Spain? If you are planning on visiting Cordoba, another wonderful city, I suggest spending 2 nights there, if you can. Some people visit Cordoba as a daytrip from Seville, but I think that is a great injustice to Cordoba.

Thanks all! We have to work within the confines of my son's spring break and i was planning on 4 nights in the city. We would arrive late on a Saturday morning and leave mid-afternoon the coming Wednesday, spending a few days back in Madrid before heading home. We love Madrid and want a couple days to hang out there as well. I was not planning on heading to Cordoba on this trip. I don't want to short change it trying to just make it a day trip. We would likely made a day trip to Jerez de la Frontera to visit some sherry bodegas but that would be the extent of day trips from there.
