We are arriving in Malaga on Jan.20 and staying at a local resort close to Marbella. Anyone have experience with using the bus service to get from the resorts into Marbella city center or to get to Malaga?

What resort are you staying at? I always rent a car when staying in the area but buses are widely used and frequent.

We are staying at a Heritage Resort Club Playa Real. We will have access to a rental car but may want to take the bus part of the time. Doe the buses stop at the resorts? Or are they fairly close by?

The buses stop along the main roads. The closest one to your resort is a 10 minute walk away to the Camping Marbella Playa stop on the A7.
