How far in advance can you buy Alhambra tickets?

It appears that currently, the tickets are only available though May on the Ticket Master site, is this correct? We are starting to plan a trip for August, will tickets to to the Alhambra be a problem?

'We are starting to plan a trip for August, will tickets to to the Alhambra be a problem?' - I do not understand the question. What problem are you envisaging? The tickets for August will appear when they appear. Monitor on a weekly basis perhaps, but you are well ahead of 'normality' expecting August now.

Karin - although we were in shoulder season (late March), we found that booking through our hotel, Hotel Anna Capri, was easy and convenient. 1) although I can hold my own in Spanish, they do speak English, and yes, like Rick Steve's guide book mentions, Kathy does speak Iowa. She was invaluable, and my wife and her became fast friends, also being from the Mid-west. 2) In order that we did not miss getting in, they made a command decision and booked the last time available on the day of our arrival, as the following day was sold out, which was our original intention. So, Kathy quickly checked us in and got us on our way. We're glad they did that, although it was a surprise upon our arrival. Anyway, keep on top of it. The Alhambra is not to be missed. But, see if your hotel can help. They do have some pull, being in the area. Have fun.

I've previously seen about 2 months ahead of time. This doesn't seem to be the case right now though. I'd check weekly until June, then more often. Getting tickets shouldn't be a problem as long as you're flexible about what time of day.

Karin-yes Ticketmaster is the site. We ordered for May and the booking wasn't available until later than expected. My advice, check the site daily or every other day. It seems to not have a rigid schedule, but more a general guideline. Ticketmaster has had some problems in the past but it is the site you need. And know what you want. It does fill up fast. In one day three days I was looking at sold out so just be prepared and check the site often. Once available, however, it was easy to do! Good luck!

No, but you may have to deal with daytime temperatures in excess of 100 degrees F. Not the best time of year to visit southern Spain. I am trying to re-schedule our trip for May 2016 - should not be as hot.
