Hotels Near Airport In Madrid

Hello,
We are flying home from Madrid on October 2. We need a place to stay somewhat near the airport for the night of October 1st. We are also considering returning to Madrid a day early so we could spend one additional day in Madrid.

We are hoping to take a night train from Lisbon to Madrid.

We will very much appreciate and thoughts and advice you might be willing to share.

We stayed at the Madrid Airport Hilton. The hotel is very close to the airport, and they have free shuttle service from the hotel to the airport. They also have a shutte service from the hotel into Madrid. In addition there is a metro station which is about a 20 minute walk from the hotel.

Bill,
I just made reservations at NH Hotel Barajas in Madrid near the airport & it also provides a free shuttle to the airport.

We've stayed in NH hotels in the past & the staff is always very helpful, the beds are comfortable & the breakfast is
delicious!

Here is the link in case you're interested:http://www.nh-hotels.com/hotel/nh-barajas?_ga=1.64966759.975489706.1437634600

You may call the toll-free # (found at the top of the web page) 24/7 !

You may want to sign up for the NH Rewards (free) & get 5% discount on all your reservations!

There are other NH hotels in Madrid which are much closer to the city center, if you choose to stay there.

Enjoy!

Because Madrid (unlike my birth city of New York) has a (long) one-seat subway ride to the airport, maybe you don't have to do this. But if your flight is really early, just make sure the hotel shuttle runs that early before you book! We stay at the Hotel Preciados because the airport line has a stop just down the street. But it's not the same as staying at the airport.

After many visits to Europe, I have started to seek later returns to the US. One way I've succeeded is with connecting flights (at negligible or negative cost) that I previously would not consider. Just an idea.
