Will have a car to explore Basque country. Would like free or paid parking at hotel and location easily accessible to get in and out of town, but would also like to be able to walk to Old Town, Beach, and restaurants, etc.
Any suggestions?

We stayed here, albeit some time back.

Out of the centre but still a reasonable walk.
Parking was on street from memory and luck of the draw.

We stayed at the Hotel Parma and there is an entrance to underground parking just across the street from the hotel. The hotel is very near the convention centre, if that is of interest.
