Hotels in Madrid

We are looking for 2 nights at the end of our Rick Steves Tour. Traveling From Cordova and going to the airport after our stay.
We may have our adult son with us on one of the nights.
Any suggestions please
Thank you

We enjoyed staying at the Mercure Madrid Centro on Calle Lope de Vega. The hotel is a short walk from the Prado, Reina Sofia, and Thyssen Museums. And within walking distance of Retiro Park. And a block away from Calle de Jesus with all its tapas restaurants.

We stayed at Sleep'N Atocha, near Atocha Station and Retiro Park. The rooms are small/cozy, but they're quiet and get very dark with the blinds/shutters closed. We were able to get a cab from there to the airport with no problems. We're heading back to Spain this summer, and plan on staying at Sleep'N again at the front and end of our trip.

I too have stayed at Hotel Europa multiple times and have enjoyed it. I consider it a mid-range priced hotel. Sleep N Atocha is a more budget friendly hotel and perfectly fine. I stayed at it decades ago when it had a different name. The hotel you choose should depend on what you’re looking for, how much you want to spend, and where you want to explore the city from.

Had a great stay at the Hotel Preciados a few years back, decently located.

We liked both the H10 Villa de la Reina and the Circulo Gran Via. They are close to one another on the Gran Via. H10 has coffee and buns in the lobby in the morning, and cava and candy in the evening. The staff are wonderfully friendly. The Circulo Gran Via is newer and more posh. The massive room, bed and bathroom was a wonderful respite.
