Hotels in Barcelona

Hi, I'm looking for recommendations for a hotel in Barcelona. My girlfriend and I have been looking on airbnb but there seems to be a lot of reasonably priced hotels in Barcelona. Does anyone have any recommendations for hotels around $100/night?

Bgrzywa,

Years ago we stayed at Hotel NH Master (name changed to Hotel NH Barcelona Eixample)

It was clean, comfortable, close to the train station (Sants), the Metro & Las Ramblas.

We choose to skip the buffet breakfast which was extra.

You can search their website & check their rates:http://www.nh-hoteles.es/hotel/nh-barcelona-eixample.

I just did a quick search for june 9th for 3 nights & the rate is €95.48 per night.

Have a wonderful trip!

Note that in Barcelona hotel prices vary wildly depending on the events happening in the city (rather than the season) and Barcelona is a city holding all sorts of events all year long, from business to sports to culture. A hotel can give you an $80 price for a room one week and the following week the same room cost over $200.

I would suggest a look at booking.com and venere.com Also, as per which area to stay in, my personal recommendation is this: http://bit.ly/BCNwhicharea

I stayed at Pensio2000. It's more like a B&B, but very comfy and across the street from the Palau de la Musica - great location. If you have any questions about it, PM me.

Check out the Hotel Continental Barcelona. We were there in May. The location was fantastic, on La Rambla and about a minute or two walk to Placa Catalunya for transportation connections and the airport bus. I believe it is near your price point...not an easy task in what we thought was an expensive city for lodging. It isn't de luxe by any standards..our room was Barbie doll pink with plastic night stands, but they offer 24 hour free coffee, wine and snacks in addition to the breakfast. Pleasant breakfast area, nice little outdoor seating area as well. The people were very friendly and helpful. As I passed by the desk one day, the clerk saw my RS tour book in hand and stopped me to say he would offer us a 10% discount at checkout. We upgraded and took a room with a balcony overlooking the Rambla and enjoyed our time there with freebie wine (plastic cups but we were happy). The street is more crowded at midnight than 9:00am, but noise was not an issue at all, either through the balcony doors or the walls. Good luck.

I haven't been to Spain before, but my husband and I are traveling to Barcelona for the Formula 1 Grand Prix in May. In looking at our options, I found that there are quite a few reasonably priced apartments for rent. You can save a bit of money by cooking some of your own meals and having a washing machine means packing light! Enjoy your trip!

Barcelona and Madrid are the expensive cities in Spain. The only other place I paid more than 100 euro per night was San Sebastian.

We stayed at Hostal Campi. It was reasonable, clean and quiet, and well located though not luxurious at all. Our room wasn't ensuite so not expensive but, even then, I think it was over 100 euro for a double per night.

We found a hotel around the Torre Agbar for a pretty good price. How is that for a location?

Or how about an apartment right next to Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art?
