Not too familiar with Barcelona but we are cruising out of there in November and looking for a hotel for a couple of nights
not too far from the cruise port but near a few places to walk around. Any suggestions? Adossat Terminal is where our ship is sailing from.
An alternative thought is that the public transit in Barcelona is excellent and unless you're
lugging a lot of suitcases, staying anywhere with decent access to a metro station is fine.
Barcelona is rife with hotels of all kinds. I am sure others will have specific recommendations
but I am just pointing out you don't really need to stay close to the cruise ship terminal.
Adossat isn't a terminal. It is a very long pier on which six terminals are located. It's an inconvenient walk so most people take the cruise bus for 3 Euro from the Columbus monument (use Drassanes metro stop).
The bus calls at all terminals, but you need to know which one.
Pick any hotel that is convenient to your site seeing in Barcelona. Take a taxi to your cruise ship to make your life easy. The cruise terminals are too far to walk and the combination of metro, walking and bus just don’t make sense. FYI…we have cruised in and out of this port 3 times recently and are careful about our travel spending.
Ditto on all of above recommendations. First priority should be on finding accommodations suitable to maximizing your enjoyment of t he stay while in Barcelona. Don't let the tail wag the dog.
As a native here, nothing to add to the otherwise excellent responses above.
Thank you for all your suggestions!
