Hotels at Train, Bus, or Airport Stations: Barcelona, Cordoba, Madrid, Bilbao, San Sebastian

What are budget hotels (clean, safe, and quiet) in the following cities in Spain:

  1. Barcelona at Barcelona Sants train station (AKA Sants Estación) in November 2024

  2. Cordoba at Cordoba Central train station in November and early December 2024

  3. Madrid at Avenida de América bus station in December 2024

  4. Bilbao at Bilbao Intermodal bus station in December 2024

  5. San Sebastian at San Sebastian Airport in December 2024. Airport code is EAS.

  6. Madrid at Barcelona International Airport (also known as El Prat de Llobregat Aeropuerto or Aeroport de Barcelona), Terminal 1, in December 2024. The airport code is BCN.

Confused - BCN is Barcelona's airport, not Madrid

Consider also that public transport is convenient from major transit hubs and can open options closer to sites you wish to visit.

One budget chain is Ibis. No idea if it has hotels in the places you mentioned.

In Cordoba we stayed at the AC hotel (Marriott) right across from the train station. Ask for the back side away from the busy street as it is noisy. They did move us across the hall to the quieter side. You can easily take public transit or taxi to hotels from the train or bus stations so don't need to stay near the stations. At Madrid airport we stayed at the Hilton the night before and used their shuttle from the airport after taking the train from the city and then shuttle to the airport in the morning. It was very nice being close to the airport for a morning flight.
