I am looking for suggestions for a hotel during my stay in Barcelona. I am looking for a hotel that is in a nice area that is close to restaurants and able to walk around to see sights / shop. We do not have a firm budget in mind but your suggestions will help.

On our last trip, we stayed at the Hotel Denit, and had breakfasts there, too.

Great location, walkable from Plaça Catalunya, where th airport bus drops you off. One block off the Las Ramblas . Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Walkable to the Bari Gothic and the metro.
RS Tours often stay here.
We have also stayed at the Hotel jazz.

Highly recommend Hotel Praktik Rambla — excellent location, lovely room, and gracious, helpful staff.
