Planning to stay in Conil in mid September for 4 nights. We would like a place with some Spanish character if possible with a pool and beach access, moderately priced. Does anyone have any recommendations? I have looked on travel sites but would like some personal recommendations.

Sorry, I initially mentioned Conil de la Frontera to you I believe, but I do not have specific hotel recommendations. I was staying in hilltop Vejer (Casa del Califa, very recommended) when I visited.
You are unlikely to find somewhere very charming if you want pool + beach access, but the modern built hotels in that part of Spain are really OK, no concrete monstruosities.
