Ten years ago drove into Granada and it so scary. Looking for a hotel where we could take a bus in and not fight traffic. Now over 75 and would be nervous to do it. We are three seniors.
I don’t know but it might make more sense to PARK in the outskirts and take a bus/cab to a more central hotel. You can find a garage with overnight parking, or park at the airport - airports always have overnight parking and transit to downtown and are accessible by car. Then stay at a central hotel for as many nights as you want, exploring the city by foot/bus/taxi. When done return to your car by bus or taxi.
Hotels in the center make so much more sense - you can go back and have a siesta easily, you can go to later activities like dinner or concerts and be back to your hotel at a normal hour, or go out first thing in the morning to miss the big crowds.
Thank you.
I just stayed at this hotel right in the heart of Granada and took a cab to the Alhambra. It was perfect! The hotel staff was so accommodating and we loved Granada!
