Hotel Near Atocha

Last year I stayed at Hotel Mediodía on two different occasions for one night stays in Madrid. It falls in your desired price range. Directly across the street from Atocha and there is also a metro stop a few feet away from the front entrance. It backs up to the Reina Sofia Museum plaza and it is just a few blocks away from El Prado and El Retiro. It is a big hotel and caters to tour groups but both times our room was fine and the location was very convenient to train station. They do have triple and quad rooms.

The Artrip should be well within your price range. We stayed there in October 2017, and I have to say it was the nicest 2* we've ever experienced. Easy walk to Atocha.

Thanks so much for sharing these places. so many hotels will only book 2 people per room. Will check both places out.

A basic hotel by the train station is Sleep’n Atocha. It’s about 30 yards from the Hotel Mediodia someone mentioned. sleepnatocha.com

Thanks for the suggestions. It was not easy to find a triple but you are right The Mediodia does. Booked!!
