Hotel in Seville on a side street?

Hello. I plan to be in Seville for 2 nights mid-December, solo female traveler, and would like hotel recommendations. I would love to stay at a family-run property but I haven't found one available, and on a side street, or tucked away, to feel you are leaving behind the crowds. I am going to see the palaces with their tile work and that is central Seville and so it would be good to be there. About $150 a night is the budget. Thank you!

Hi, you will need to check the price for your dates, but I’ve stayed twice in the last two years at Las Casas de El Arenal - this year as a solo traveler. It’s on a side street & very quiet at night. But, it’s close to the cathedral. I’m very safety conscious and felt fine staying there.

You mentioned the palaces. Also don’t miss the beautiful Plaza de Espana. I’ve also done a city bike tour, and there were many when I was there this year.

We also stayed at El Rey Moro and found the hotel and location to be great. Definitely would stay there again.

Katecat,

My mom and I enjoyed our stay at
Hotel Amadeus, which is conveniently located near the cathedral & alcázar.
This was a number of years ago but it looks like it’s in your budget during December.😉
If time permits, try to add at least an extra night in beautiful Sevilla.

Wishing you a wonderful trip

Our RS tour also stayed at Hotel Amadeus and it was a wonderful hotel off a side street. But I doubt it's within your budget.

When we went to Seville last April , we stayed in the Hotel Amadeus due to its central location. . We found it overpriced and probably won't be within your budget. There was a Rick Steeves tour at the same time we were there and when we went down for breakfast, we were virtually ignored by the servers. Due to the hotel's location , it's very hard to get a taxi to pick you up even if the staff at the front desk call. If you stay at this hotel, leave yourself extra time for breakfast and to move on to the first item on your itinerary.
