I will be in Sevilla in early October - probably arriving by plane and departing for Tarifa by bus. Can anyone recommend a good and convenient hotel. Thanks!

A couple of years ago we used the Hotel Amadeus. We stayed in the hotel and son and dil stayed in the annex next door. Equally nice with a roof top garden. A bottle of wine, a little cheese, hunk of bread makes for a lovely late evening snack on the roof.

Stayed at a very small wonderful hotel that is in the RS guidebook - Hotel Maestranza www.hotelmaestranza.es . No breakfast but reasonably priced, neat, and old world charm with a modern bath. Very close to everything, walked everywhere from there. They really took good care of us. Can't recommend them enough.

I stayed a little outside the center at the Silken Al Andalus Palace hotel. It's a nice, big, hotel; not my normal haunt - but I got a great deal for a four night stay.
I'd recommend staying in the Jewish Quarter near the Cathedral and Alcazar. It should be nice in October.
