Hotel in Madrid near airport

Forgot to ask in my last post... for our early return flight from Madrid, need a decent hotel not too far from airport, for early flight. Thanks for any recommendations!

Do you have a few nights stay in Madrid at the end of your trip? If so, consider just continuing your stay in the city. We had 5 nights in Madrid and had to fly out at 6:20 am. Our front desk arranged for taxi to pick us up at 4 am and we were at the airport in about 25 minutes. The city was dead at that time and our driver was an F1 driver. I had originally planned to show up 3 hours before the flight, but the front desk told us that because we were stopping in Frankfurt, it was not an international flight and we did not need to be there so early. He said if it were him, he would not bother to leave hotel until about 5 am. We decided to split the difference to be safe. Airport was also dead. We had time for breakfast at the airport.

PS. We stayed at Petit Palace Posada de Piene near Plaza Mayor in an area where it is pedestrian only during the day. At that time of the morning, the cab was allowed to pick us up at the hotel front door.

Look at Google maps. There are a number of them. Ibis is a nice budget friendly chain. They are fairly basic but clean and perfectly adequate. Not certain what time early refers to, but staying in or near the city could be an option.

If you wanted to be close to the airport, but not right next to it, there are a couple hotels 5km (3mi) from it at the Feria de Madrid metro stop; Novotel Madrid Campo de las Naciones and Pullman Madrid Airport & Feria. Across the street from them is a large park where you could take an evening stroll.

Back in early 2020 my wife and I stayed at the Ibis Budget Madrid Calle Alcala. Very close to the airport and free shuttle. Back then they had a hot breakfast and for dinner several restaurants plus a supermarket just down the street. Quick ride to the airport. It was clean and convenient.

Do Not Stay at the Hilton Madrid Airport. We had a last minute flight/departure city change and literally had to pick a hotel for the night while on the train to Madrid. We thought, "we can't go wrong with a Hilton." We were wrong.....

The only positive about this hotel was the shuttle to the airport in the morning. They had a loud event going until about 1:30 am which kept us awake. The bathrooms are of a unique design of glass panels that move around. Unfortunately, the panel that would provide privacy for the toilet area did not shut the entire way.

When we mentioned these issues in the morning the response was, "yes, they were really loud weren't they?". This is hotel geared toward corporate events and not individual customers.
