We have a party of three staying briefly in Barcelona and we were hoping to stay in the Gothic quarter. Do you have suggestions.

Hotel 1898 is on Las Ramblas at the edge of the Gothic Quarter. It is a great location. Right in the middle of everything!

We stayed at Hotel Nouvel. Great location, pleasant staff, and comfortable room! About a five minute walk from Placa Catalunya, where the Aerobus connects to/from the airport. Excellent walking area; easy access to public transportation (and a taxi stand is nearby). Breakfast is available in an adjoining restaurant.
